Mountain Lake & Horseback Trips - A trip into the high country is a must for anyone visiting Montana. You can ride to a beautiful alpine lake that's loaded with hungry Cutthroat Trout. Or, pack in for a few days on one of the regions most pristine cutthroat streams. We offer these trips in conjunction with one of our friends and fellow outfitters (Licensed and permitted by the U.S. Forest Service and the National Park Service.)
We fish predominately from McKenzie style drift boats, but walk & wade trips are also available. Our boats provide an effective and comfortable way to fish and see a lot of water. A float trip is almost always a pleasant way to spend a day even if the fishing is less than great.
The fabled Madison River is our home water. We guide the majority of our trips on this wonderfully diverse freestone river anywhere from Hebgen Lake Dam to Three Forks, Montana. That's about 120 miles of trout-infested water!
We also offer Full-Day trips, and in some cases overnight trips on other rivers including: Big Hole, Beaverhead, Yellowstone, Ruby, Gallatin, Jefferson, Missouri, and Big Horn. Please refer to the Waters We Fish page for more in-depth river descriptions.
Your guide can provide most all of the tackle you might need. Your guide will also not hesitate to delve into his/her own arsenal of favorite fly patterns in order to get the job done. Please visit our Equipment page for a list of necessary equipment and recommended fly patterns.
