Here's a little taste of the fifith season on the Madison, featuring "Little Circles" by our good friends The Wooks. Check them out at www.wookoutamerica.com
Somewhere between deep winter and early spring in Montana is what we refer to as "The Fifth Season." It's a wonderful time of year for fly fishing the Madison. The fish haven't seen much angling pressure and are becoming more active as water temps creep higher. So the fishing (and the catching) can be flat out great. It tends to be primarily a nymphing game, but there are defintiely times when streamers and dry flies are the way to go. Bring your Merino Wool, Gore-Tex and some P.M.A. and you will be just fine!
